Sarah Horbaczyk

Level 3 Fitness FST Specialist

Sarah Horbaczyk

Sarah has been working as a Personal Trainer for over 10 years in a commercial gym setting and has been combining FST with her clients since she took her Level 1 in 2012. Transforming her business from strictly personal training to mainly FST, she has worked with a variety of clients from athletes, general population and fitness competitors, showing people the value of mobility and how well it complements any type of strength and conditioning program.

Finding FST and combining it with functional fitness and movement sparked a passion to show other trainers in the industry how they can help more people reach their goals. A part of the Instructor team since 2018, she has had the privilege of teaching many students how they can implement FST into their practice and design programs with mobility and stability incorporated. Teaching people the how and why to take care of their bodies is something Sarah is deeply passionate about.

Robert Glean

Robert Glean

Level 3 Medical FST Specialist

Robert Glean

Robert is a registered massage therapist, fascial stretch therapist, and movement educator that is not like any other manual therapist. He promotes tissue health with proper assessment, positioning and movement. The body needs to learn how to function through arranged movement patterns. People are quickly forgetting what it means to move without pain or to have range of motion without muscle tension.

Robert uses his knowledge of combining fascial stretch therapy, neurological tests, muscle tests, vision training, functional movement, and manual therapy to unlock the very threat and pain responses that prevent people from moving better, feeling better, and thinking clearly with more energy. His experience has widely ranged from young children, all athletes (soccer, basketball, tennis, CrossFit, golf, baseball) both amateur to Olympic, a variety of neurological challenges (CP, MS, Parkinson's, Concussions, Spinal Cord Injuries, Stroke, Dystonia), to basically anyone that wants to feel like themselves again so they can add play to their lives and family.

Alex holds a Bachelor's of Applied Science in Kinesiology (University of Guelph), diplomas in Fitness and Lifestyle Management (George Brown College), Massage Therapy (Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic) and a Master of Practice Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Sciences (Canadian Academy of Osteopathy). Steve Thurston

Level 3 Medical FST, RMT, PTS

Steve Thurston

Steve became a Registered Massage Therapist in 2001 and began treating people by helping them discover their ability to move more effortlessly and freely. To achieve this, he used his movement background of swimming, distance running and Martial Arts to understand how the body moves and what can go wrong. Since then his passion has only become stronger, allowing him to dive into personal training in 2010, giving him the chance to work with a client roster ranging from the youngest to the wisest.

Now practicing many different modalities, including Fascial Stretch Therapy, Scar Release Therapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and LifeStretch, Steve has advanced his approach to help his clients regain and build their strength, move more freely and discover the body's full potential. Steve's goal is to make everyone feel strong and healthy while decreasing pain and eliminating restrictions holding us back. His personal goal is to keep up with his two kids at home and stay as active as they are. Steve truly believes that you need to Move to Heal!

FAQ

What is Stretch to Win?

Stretch to Win® is the home of Fascia Stretch Therapy™ (FST), a unique, pain-free, science-based, whole-body assisted stretching method designed to improve mobility, flexibility, strength, balance, and performance.

What is Fascia Stretch Therapy™ (FST)?

FST is a specialized assisted stretching system that focuses on the body’s fascia and joint capsule rather than isolating individual muscles. It releases excessive tension and creates space in connective tissue to enhance function, reduce pain, and improve overall physical well-being.

Who can benefit from FST?

FST benefits a wide range of people — from athletes, dancers, and fitness professionals to individuals seeking pain relief, increased range of motion, or improved mobility. This includes clients with chronic pain, limited function, or those seeking peak physical performance.

Do you offer practitioner training?

Yes! Stretch to Win offers accredited FST training programs — Level 1 through Level 4 — designed for both beginners and experienced practitioners who want to master the technique and apply it professionally.

Is prior experience required to take courses?

No prior FST experience is required for Level 1. However, Level 2, 3, and 4 require completion of previous levels or equivalent prerequisites. Some basic anatomy knowledge is recommended.

How do the courses work?

Courses include live, intensive, hands-on training with a focus on practical skill development. Workshops are held in small groups for personalized instruction. Pre-course online modules and reading materials are required

What is the difference between FST and traditional stretching?

Traditional stretching usually isolates muscles with static holds. FST focuses on dynamic, assisted movement of fascial nets and joint capsules for deeper, longer-lasting flexibility and functional improvement.

Is consent to receive text messages required to use your services?

No. Consent to receive SMS messages is optional and is not required to use our services.
